Every spring, this corner of Birmingham becomes one of the prettiest spots in the city.
The blossom arrives outside IKON Gallery and, for a few weeks, everyone suddenly remembers to look up.
It’s one of my favourite places to wander with a camera or sketchbook.
Inspired by the iconic magazine covers of The New Yorker, this illustration captures that moment when Birmingham feels full of colour, sunshine and optimism.
Printed at 50x70cm on premium heavyweight paper, it’s a celebration of one of the city’s best-loved cultural spaces and a reminder that Birmingham always has another beautiful view waiting around the corner.
