Birmingham Art Prints Celebrating Five Brummie Landmarks
A set of five illustrated mock magazine covers celebrating some of Birmingham’s best-known buildings and landmarks, inspired very loosely by the classic illustrated magazine cover.
Designed and illustrated by Birmingham artist Stacey Barnfield, The Brummie is a self-deprecating love letter to Birmingham, its architecture and the places that give the city its character.
Each set features five Birmingham landmarks:
* Old Joe at the University of Birmingham
* The Grand Hotel in Colmore Row
* St Paul’s Church and the Jewellery Quarter
* Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (BMAG)
* Ikon Gallery at Brindleyplace
Each building has been hand-drawn and turned into its own fictional The Brummie magazine cover, combining Birmingham architecture, illustration and a bit of Brummie humour.
