Birmingham Canal Art Print and Narrowboat Gift
There are few views that capture Birmingham’s canals quite like this one.
My original watercolour and ink artwork features the Reflections narrowboat passing through the heart of Birmingham’s historic canal network, with The Malt House and the city skyline beyond.
It’s also a view with a little bit of history attached. During the 1998 G8 Summit in Birmingham, US President Bill Clinton famously stopped for a pint at The Malt House. This drawing captures the canal passing that very spot, a scene that brings together old industrial Birmingham, the regenerated city centre and the narrowboats that still travel these waterways every day.
Painted in my loose Draw My City style using watercolour and ink, the original artwork has been reproduced as a high-quality Birmingham art print on premium paper.
Birmingham canal wall art
Birmingham’s canals are as much a part of the city as its famous buildings, and this print makes distinctive Birmingham wall art for anyone who loves the waterways, Gas Street Basin and the character of this part of Brum.
It also makes a thoughtful Birmingham gift or narrowboat gift for canal boat owners, waterways enthusiasts, proud Brummies or someone looking for artwork that captures a different side of the city.
